Job Summary:

The Roller Operator’s primary job function is to operate a rubber tire or steel wheel asphalt roller to roll the asphalt mat to desired compaction. The Roller Operator is expected to operate other machinery and equipment as needed. Roller Operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job sit.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of materials.
  • Checking and maintaining string line.
  • Operates equipment such as pavers, material transfer vehicle, skid steer loaders, and other heavy machinery.
  • Maintenance of all equipment and tools.
  • The above-listed duties require periods of standing, walking, climbing, stooping and bending. Employee must be able to climb equipment’s ladder to reach the operator’s seat.
